Don't Worry

I haven't forgotten about my blog! I've just been busy with the fabulous new house! We closed last Friday, painted all last weekend, have been packing up all this week, and tonight we are spending our first night in the house. Our new bedroom furniture was delivered today and LO is sleeping in her pack n play, the rest of the furniture and boxes from the old house get moved tomorrow!

I can't wait to put photos up, we are getting the hardwoods re-finished this week, so I want to wait to post pics until those are done!

Also, as if moving were the only thing to occupy my time/mind. After 3 back-to-back rounds of antibiotics LO's ears are STILL infected! We met with the Ear Nose and Throat Dr. today, and they are putting tubes in both ears on Feb. 2nd (thank god)! Although her ears are still infected we can't put her on anymore antibiotics because we run the risk of LO getting a stomach infection since she has been on medication for so long :( Sooo, I have to keep my fingers crossed that her numbing ear drops and tylenol will help her pain enough for the next 2 weeks until her procedure.

Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Got to be in it, to win it

I never actually do this, but I just thought it would be fun...and who knows, my little munchkin could actually win! I entered LO into the Regis and Kelly Beautiful Baby Search! Check it out!

We close on our new house on Friday :) I'll keep everyone posted on our progress, and I'll be sure to take lots of pics!

Stay tuned!

New Finds :)

Naturally I love mommy blogs, but I've recently discovered....

you guessed it! Daddy blogs! They are so funny, and I can't help but feel like I'm spying on the "other side". I decided to share the wonderful rantings by the men with you all! On my side bar I have a list of Dad Blogs, that I love reading as well as mommy blogs!

The McMommy Chronicles (which happen to be one of my favorites) posted a great little 2010 Handbook guide. I figured I'd post it on my blog as well, hope everyone enjoys!

Keeping Up

In the spirit of resolutions, I'm keeping up with at least 3 things on my blog! Taking more pictures, below is a pic of our NEW house, we move in next Friday (can't wait), being a better blogger, AND losing weight ( I ran 2 miles today....go me)!!!!

I seriously can NOT wait to live here! It is in a great community where they do fun "community" things like play dates, and block parties, and all of those things that I once thought were majorly cheesy, but now that I'm a mom absolutely love! On a completely different note, my furry baby ( dog) Oscar is marking everything in sight! Talk about disgusting, I woke up this morning to urine on the dog bed, urine on the back door rug, and urine on the dog blanket. Not exactly what I wanted to wake up to....the best part though is when I call OH to tell him about it, he says, and I quote "Oh yea, I saw that too". Now, let me just say LO slept in this morning until 8:30 which means mom slept in also. The hubs gets up to go to work around 6:30 and is usually out of the house by 7, WHICH means he saw the urine party in the kitchen almost 2 whole hours before I even got up! Hello? My natural response was "Why the hell didn't you clean it up??" and his, "Well, I was running late, and had to get to work".

I call bullshit on that! Who knows when Oscar actually marked, the urine could have been soaking into the rug, blanket, and doggie bed for HOURS! Is it too much to ask, to throw the crap in the washing machine instead of waiting for ME to get up and do it, because it's not like I DON'T have laundry, and bottles, and jar food, and bathing, and diaper changes, and vacuuming, and disinfecting (hello, flu season) and the overall task of trying to be an AMAZING mom to keep me busy during the day...so let's add some dog urine into the mix, you know....just to shake things up!

Never a dull moment, NEVER!!!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!

Hope everyone rung-in the new year safely and happily! I can't believe it is 2010! 2009 flew by way too fast! What is this decade anyway??? The "tens"?

Anyways I now this time of year is inevitably filled with people making resolutions (that they probably won't keep) so I figured I'd make a list for myself...I'm not naive, if I actually "do" half of what I am aspiring to, I will be one happy woman!!! But for the sake of tradition, I'll make a "go" at it!

RESOLUTIONS

Take more pictures- Now that I have my awesome new camera, I really have no excuse anymore! I love pictures, I love looking at them and wish my parent's had taken more of me and my brothers when we were growing up. So, I'd really like to be that obnoxious parent that ALWAYS has the camera around her neck, my daughter will be embarrassed by me for most of her life, but eventually she will thank me!

Blog more- I really want to be a better blogger! Sometimes it is hard to fit it in with a crazy baby, crazy husband, crazy dogs, crazy house, and all that jazz! But, I really do love my time with my laptop, blogging about my life...it's one of the few "me" things, I get to do.

Cook Dinner- I'm shocked I am even typing this right now! My husband is the chef-extraordinaire in our house, but I would like to help out a little more. I like cooking when I have a game plan, so I'd really like to cook, erm...learn to cook. I'm not talking about my typical re-heat the frozen food type of cooking, but REAL cooking. It's probably not a good sign when I'm already hearing the voice in my head saying "yeaaaah riiight" as I am typing this!

Stay Healthy/Lose Weight- Isn't this something every woman who has just had a baby wants to do! I've gotten into running (oddly enough) and I really want to keep it up! If I can get time to myself to run at least one day a week I would be happy!

Be more Organized- I have the perfect opportunity to leave my cluttery, dirty ways behind me! We are moving to a new house at the end of January, so it's the perfect time for me to get organized and make sure EVERYTHING has a place in the new house!

Keep my cool- My reaction to things...well, mainly people have been a little off the charts this past year. I don't know if people around me have just been pissing me off more than usual, or if I am just no longer putting up with people as well as I used to be able to. I've been blaming it on hormones, which in all honesty probably were the original culprit. Although more often than not, when I do erupt it is usually warranted but I would like to keep my cool and let things roll off my back a little more easily.

Go to Church- I've never really been a faithful church goer, but I'd like to be. Especially now with LO. When she was christened, I really was moved by the beauty of the service. I went to Mass today, so yay for me! I just have to try to keep it up!

Be a better friend- All the mama's out there know how this one goes! It's hard with a new baby, to juggle time in your life to even take a shower, much less call your single friends back, or plan a girls night. I have some of the best friends a girl can have, they are all super understanding and by the time I do get around to calling everyone back, it's like we haven't missed a beat! I really want to make more time for my friends though and see them more frequently.

Be a Super Mom- Not to toot my horn, but I think I am a really good mom! I would like to be a SUPER MOM though! You know, the mom who seems to have time for everything! Time for her children, time to clean the house, time for her husband, time to cook dinner and all while looking fabulous!

Well, there's my list, not too long, and I think it's pretty realistic! I guess we will just have to wait and see what this new year throws my way!
